Our Mission
At ASCEND Church, we are on a journey together to live out Jesus’ mission in our city and beyond. Built upon the transformative power of Christ’s death, resurrection, and ascension, we are called to be a Spirit-empowered community that reflects the glory of Jesus, proclaims His Gospel, and partners with Him to see His Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.
Our mission begins with enthroning Jesus in our hearts and lives, recognizing that He alone is the risen King, seated in heavenly places. From this place of worship and surrender, we are sent out into our neighborhoods, workplaces, and nations to make disciples, love radically, and live with a Kingdom purpose.
We believe the church is not a building but a people – a family on mission, united by faith in Christ and empowered by His Spirit. Together, we commit to creating a culture where everyone is equipped to live missionally, discipling others, serving our city, and bringing the light of Christ into every sphere of influence.
Living Missionally
The ascension of Christ gives us a heavenly perspective and a clear mandate: to live as His witnesses. This means sharing the Gospel boldly, loving and serving others sacrificially, and working to bring God’s righteousness and justice into the world. We do this not by our own strength, but through the power of the Holy Spirit, who empowers us to live out our calling with faith, humility, and courage.
Our mission also reflects our deep love for God’s Church. We aim to foster a vibrant community where people find belonging, grow in faith, and are equipped for every good work. As each person discovers their God-given gifts and steps into their unique calling, the Kingdom of God expands in and through us.
